This course is for you if you are a provider looking for foundational knowledge around eating disorders. Here you can find current research combined with my years of expertise as an eating disorder therapist and nutritionist. After this course you will feel more confident in your ability to assess for eating disorders and disordered eating. You will also learn preliminary skills for reducing your own unconscious bias around eating and weight from interfering with your client's relationships with food and body.

This course includes:

  • On demand, easy to digest video presentations, together totaling ~ 1 hour.
  • Overviews of the current eating disorder diagnoses and explanations of each.
  • Risk factors and presenting clues to identifying issues with relationship with food/body.
  • A "do no harm" roadmap for navigating your own unconscious biases around food/weight.
  • Handouts and assessment tools.

Reviews:

"This course was a great overview of eating disorders, signs of potential EDs in clients, and how to be respectful and informed when working with clients. Though I'm not a healthcare professional myself, I work with clients who are often in eating disorder recovery or at high risk of developing an ED, and tools like this help me serve them in a way that's safer for them."
